Indigenous tourism with Paiter Suruí as the leading figures.

The Paiter Suruí Indigenous Tourism Agency was created to organize and market experiences led by the Paiter Suruí people themselves, in the Sete de Setembro Indigenous Territory, between Rondônia and Mato Grosso.
Our main visitor base is in the Lapetanha Village, accessible via Cacoal, in Rondônia. It is here that we welcome Brazilian and foreign visitors interested in learning about our history, culture, territory, and sustainable development initiatives.
For us, the Paiter Suruí people are the protagonists of the experience and partners in every operation—never just an attraction.
About us
Our story
Tourism in the Paiter Suruí territory originated from the Territorial Management Plan, known as the 50-Year Plan. Created in 2005, this plan guides actions to protect the forest, strengthen the culture, generate sustainable income, and expand the autonomy of the Paiter Suruí people.
Under the leadership of Almir Narayamoga Suruí and with the participation of the communities, tourism began to be developed as an activity capable of uniting environmental conservation, cultural appreciation, knowledge exchange, and the generation of opportunities.
In 2022, Yabnaby Tourism was built in the Lapetanha Village. In the following years, the community organized its accommodation infrastructure, trained local guides, and developed itineraries and experiences.
In 2024, the Paiter Suruí Indigenous Tourism Agency was formally created, strengthening the direct participation of the people themselves in the organization, marketing, and execution of trips.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide authentic, educational, and respectful experiences, allowing visitors to learn about the territory through the knowledge, stories, and perspective of the Paiter Suruí people.
Tourism is a tool to strengthen our culture, generate income for families, create opportunities for young people, and support the protection of the Sete de Setembro Indigenous Land.
Each visit also helps to show that it is possible to develop economic activities without destroying the forest.
Our team
Our team is made up of Paiter Suruí indigenous people and local professionals who work in reception, accommodation, food service, guiding tours, and conducting cultural and environmental activities.
The guides share knowledge built from life in the territory. During the experiences, they present the history of the people, their relationship with the forest, forms of community organization, and initiatives developed for the present and the future.
When traveling with us, visitors are welcomed by those who live in, know, and protect this territory.
What we offer
Visitors can learn about the history, customs, crafts, body painting, songs, dances, and other cultural expressions of the Paiter Suruí people. Activities are conducted according to the schedule and availability of the community.

Sustainability and forest protection
Our itineraries include forest hikes, biodiversity observation, a visit to the sacred tree, and contact with the preserved landscapes of the Sete de Setembro Indigenous Territory.
We present initiatives for reforestation, seedling production, agroforestry systems, community gardens, fire prevention, and environmental education.
Visitors can also explore the Paiter Suruí Botanical Garden and the Pamine Nursery, spaces dedicated to environmental restoration, traditional knowledge, and biodiversity conservation.
Production and bioeconomy
Accommodation and gastronomy
Experiences may include visits to farms, coffee plantations, Amazonian Robusta coffee production, handicrafts, indigenous chocolate making, and other initiatives that generate income sustainably.
Yabnaby Tourism offers accommodation in bungalows in the Lapetanha Village, meals, internet access, and support from the local team.
At Yabnaby Restaurant, visitors discover regional flavors, ingredients produced by the community, and dishes that bring together gastronomy, culture, and sustainability.
We work to ensure that tourism takes place with respect for the territory, culture, community decisions, and the Paiter Suruí way of life.
Our itineraries are pre-planned, accompanied by local guides, and adapted to the conditions of the community, climate, and territory.
We hope that each visitor returns home taking not only photographs, but a deeper understanding of indigenous peoples, the forest, and the importance of building relationships based on respect.
